Participation Expectations

I understand the expectations of this program and agree to fulfill the requirements outlined below. I understand that failure to meet these requirements may result in removal from the program.

Summer Conference

Students must participate with complete attendance.

Take Action Challenge (TAC)

The Take Action Challenge (TAC) is the community service project that each student creates from A-Z during the year-long YWLC program.

Students must complete the TAC Plan document during the summer conference.

Students must submit a 1-minute video presentation on their TAC at the end of their program participation.

Mentorship

Students must initiate a minimum of 4 meetings throughout the year, 2 meetings per semester, with their designated mentor.

Monthly Meetings - August-April

Students must participate in monthly meetings, with no more than two absences unless otherwise approved. These meetings will take place via Zoom on the 1st Wednesday of each month, excluding January, from 5:30-7:00 pm CST.

If a student must miss a monthly meeting, they must inform us at least 1 week prior to the meeting. If a student misses more than 2 meetings we will contact the parents/guardians.

Confidentiality

I understand the information that will be covered and presented to me throughout the program. I understand that everything shared by participants during the program is confidential, and that if I choose to discuss anything shared by other participants, this may be grounds for removal from the program. While confidentiality is expected, program facilitators are mandated reporters and must report any disclosures involving harm to self or others. Confidentiality is of utmost importance in this organization.

Digital Participation & Communication

I understand that participation in the Young Women’s Leadership Challenge (YWLC) includes digital communication and virtual meetings. I acknowledge and agree that:

• Program communication will take place via email and Remind 101. I am responsible for regularly checking these platforms for updates, announcements, and program information.

• Monthly meetings may be conducted via Zoom. I am responsible for joining meetings on time and participating from an appropriate setting.

• I will conduct myself respectfully in all digital spaces, including Zoom audio/video, chat, and messages, and I will follow all program expectations for behavior and participation.

• I will not share Zoom links, meeting passwords, or access details with anyone outside the program, and I will not allow non-participants to attend meetings.

• I will not record, screenshot, photograph, or share any part of meetings or program communications, including chat messages, without explicit permission from program staff.

Zoom Recording

I understand that YWLC Zoom meetings may be recorded. By participating, I consent to being recorded, including my name, voice, video image, and any participation in the chat.

Program Flexibility

I understand that program schedules, meeting formats, speakers, or activities may occasionally change due to circumstances beyond the control of The Pangea Network. I agree to remain flexible and participate as required.
