We recognize that AI tools are a common and valuable part of how students learn, write, and explore ideas today. You are welcome to use AI to support your application for brainstorming, organizing thoughts, or refining clarity.

However, your application should reflect your own voice, experiences, and ideas. Applications that are written entirely by AI are easy to recognize and do not give us a meaningful sense of who you are. Our team carefully reads every word of every application, and we make this time commitment because getting to know you matters to us.

For this reason, we ask that you use AI as an enhancement tool, not a replacement for your thinking. We are far more interested in your original ideas, honest reflections, and personal perspective than in polished or “perfect” writing. Show us who you are — this application is an opportunity to share your unique voice.

Before joining The Pangea Network, she worked selling secondhand clothes for a small commission. Even with limited income, she saved consistently, determined to build a business of her own.

After joined the Kenyans Women's Network through Pangea, she gained business training and access to microloans that allowed her to grow her shop beyond clothing to include bedsheets and secondhand duvets.

Meet our Woman of the Month, Margaret Anyango Auma Meet our Woman of the Month, Margaret Anyango Auma, a 58-year-old entrepreneur from Homa Bay County and a member of the Rarieda Women Group. Margaret runs a fruit stand near Kwoyo Kaura Primary School, supporting her two grandchildren through her hard work and determination. Before joining Pangea, she earned very little and struggled to meet basic needs... but never stopped saving for her dream of owning her own business.

Through Pangea’s training and revolving fund, Margaret has strengthened her business, learned essential skills like bookkeeping and nutrition, and grown her income enough to confidently provide for her family. She’s now working toward her dream of opening a larger, modern fruit grocery and has already begun saving for the expansion.

Margaret describes herself as dependable, hardworking, and goal-oriented. Qualities that shine through in everything she does. We’re proud to celebrate her this month. 🧡
