Volunteer Opportunity: The Pangea Network is looking for dedicated and passionate professional women to guide high school girls who are building community service projects through the annual Young Women’s Leadership Challenge (YWLC) program. Your mentorship can have a lifelong impact!

What

Mentors meet with mentees at least 4 times throughout the year (exact dates on application) for 1:1 sessions. The average commitment ranges from 5-25 hours.

Who

Professional women from any sector who have experience in community service, mentorship, human rights, and/or women empowerment.

Where

Remote! Mentoring for YWLC can be done entirely online.

We have set these dates for you to meet with your student - please add it to your calendar.
If the date turns out to not work for you and the student, please adjust accordingly.
These are mandatory meetings.

January 23rd: 3rd

March 20th: Final Mentor Meeting

Meet Nimrod, a 17-year-old Form 3 student at Kanga Meet Nimrod, a 17-year-old Form 3 student at Kanga High School from Nairobi County. He has a passion for Chemistry and dreams of pursuing Medicine and Surgery at the university level.

Before joining The Pangea Network, Nimrod faced uncertainty about whether he would be able to finish high school. Financial hardship and limited resources at home made continuing his education feel out of reach.

Today, that uncertainty has been replaced with confidence. Through the Pangea Network Student Sponsorship Program, Nimrod now has the support he needs to stay in school and plan for life beyond graduation.

Since joining Pangea, Nimrod has gained valuable life skills like time management and goal setting through the Annual Boys Retreat. He has also strengthened his study habits by working closely with his teachers and dedicating more time to challenging subjects.

Nimrod is most proud of improving his attitude toward subjects he once struggled with and setting meaningful goals for his final year. Self-driven and focused, he is building a future that once felt uncertain.

👏 Join us in celebrating Nimrod and the bright path ahead.
