What life-long lesson have you learned from your TAC project?
Even though I am just a high schooler, the impact I made in my community showed me that age or experience doesn’t define the change one can make; rather, it’s the motivation, passion and determination that can change a life, a community, and the world.
What is the most unexpected or surprising or interesting thing that happened during or as a result of your TAC journey?
Starting out, I didn’t think my TAC would truly make an impact in my community. However, as I continued with my project, introducing the world of coding to various students in and out of my school, I realized that I had the power to change the way coding was perceived by my community, and this further pushed me to complete my TAC to its fullest.
Did you face any challenges in executing your TAC in the face of COVID-19? If so, how did you adapt to the new reality of the pandemic?
COVID-19 was definitely an obstacle that impacted the completion of my TAC. Because of this, a lot of my original plans could not come to fruition; however, this also taught me how to adapt to the pandemic and come up with new ideas, working around my challenges to still fulfill my goal of introducing my school and community to the importance of computer programming.
