Originally from Homabay County, Collins is studying for a Diploma in Electrical Installation at the National Industrial Training Institute. He especially enjoys the hands-on, practical units that make his coursework come alive. Since joining the Pangea Network, Collins has grown in confidence and decision-making. He’s learned to stay focused through challenges and is now on track to complete his studies—working hard toward his dream of becoming an electrical engineer. Meet our May Woman of the Month: Judith Atieno Mun Meet our May Woman of the Month: Judith Atieno Munga! Judith is a hardworking businesswoman from Homa Bay County who runs a small roadside food business in Kendu Bay, selling freshly made mandazi and chapati to passersby near Gendia Mission Hospital. Through Pangea’s 6-month training, she gained practical skills in bookkeeping, business management, and hygiene in food preparation—giving her the confidence to grow her business and improve her family’s living standards. Today, Judith is proud to provide for her children and has even built a permanent home. Her dream is to open a restaurant—and she’s already saving and securing space to make it happen. It’s okay to feel uncertain, especially when life gets tough, but remember—your feelings are valid, and you have the strength to work through them. Here are a few steps that might help you manage anxiety: - Breathe deeply. Slow down, focus on your breath, and calm your mind. - Take breaks. Step away from overwhelming situations to regain perspective. - Talk to someone. Share your thoughts with a trusted friend, mentor, or professional. - Prioritize self-care. Make time for activities that nurture your mind and body. You're more capable than you realize.
